A BBC Radio 1 DJ presenter has expressed his confusion after discovering a flamingo chick at Banham Zoo had been named after him.

Greg James the Chilean Flamingo hatched a month ago along with three other siblings.

Banham Zoo posted photos of the chick on Facebook, asking followers to help them "introduce Greg James to the real, less fluffy Greg James".

And it looks like it worked as the DJ posted a photo of the flamingo on Instagram with the text: "Why am I a flamingo now?"

"Love him but Gregs can be hard to love."

Banham Zoo revealed that the eggs had been incubated earlier this year and because they were not very easy to identify they called all of them Greg.

After they hatched they were each named after celebrity Gregs - James, after the DJ, Wallace, after broadcaster Gregg Wallace, Davies, after the comedian, and the mysterious "wild Greg".
