Matt Billington, visitor services coordinator at Thetford Forest, said: "Visitors will be able to visit High Lodge, carve a pumpkin - and not have to deal with the mess - then take it home in time for Halloween night.

Guests, staff and even pets are encouraged to dress up for the big day (Image: Thetford forest) "The Brandon Royal British Legion has also offered up a £100 prize for the best scarecrow, and people can vote once they've walked the scarecrow trail."

No ticket is required for the event and it will last from 10am to 4pm.
