One of two teens accused of attempting to murder a man who was stabbed several times in the street threatened to kill him several weeks earlier, a court has heard.

Elvis Price, 18, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, have gone on trial accused of the attempted murder of Danny Norman.

It happened as he was out walking with his fiancée and two young daughters in Bury Road, Thetford, on Mother's Day.

Norwich Crown Court heard about an earlier incident, shortly before Christmas in December last year, which happened as Mr Norman was collecting one of his children from school.

The jury of six men and six women heard Mr Norman was "trying to calm it" as he had his little girl with him and told them to "leave it out".

But she said the teen and Elvis were "angry" and "both firing each other up".

She said she followed Mr Norman as he left the school as she was worried "they might jump him".

The witness said Price and the teen were "at the gate waiting".

She said she heard Price and the teen tell Mr Norman they were "going to hurt him and his family".

Price, of Amulet Close, Thetford, has denied attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent and having an article with a blade or point.

The 17-year-old co-defendant has denied attempted murder and causing GBH with intent.

The trial continues.
