A main road through a Norfolk town will be closed for long periods next week.

The A1065 Brandon Road at the B1108 Watton Road and Coldharbour Lane junctions in Thetford will be shut from 7pm to 6am from Wednesday, November 8.

This is to allow Norfolk County Council to carry out surfacing work which is expected to take three nights to complete, subject to weather conditions.

A signed diversion route will be in place throughout.

Access will be permitted for residents and businesses located within the works but they may experience delays at times.

The works will be carried out by Tarmac, a contractor of Norfolk County Council, and will cost approximately £90,000.
