Traffic was queuing along the A11 in west Suffolk following an incident earlier today.

Suffolk police were called at around 1.05pm on Tuesday to reports that a tree had fallen onto the A11 by the Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills, near Mildenhall. 

A lane was closed by Suffolk police to make the road safer.

Traffic was queuing along the A11 heading southbound as far back as the junction with the B1112.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said that National Highways arrived at the scene and cleared the tree from the road, a process that took several hours.

The road is now clear.
