Do you know someone who selflessly spends their time helping others, or who has shown remarkable bravery in the face of adversity?
We need your help to track them down – as we prepare for the return of the EDP's third awards ceremony celebrating the unsung heroes and community champions of our towns and villages.
And this year, the Stars of Norfolk Awards have expanded to recognise even more incredible achievements from the Waveney Valley.
Now we need your help to let us know who you think should be recognised.
Yesterday, EDP editor Nigel Pickover was joined by council leaders, police and fire chiefs and representatives from community bodies to officially launch the Stars of Norfolk and Waveney Awards, which will be held at St Andrew's Hall on December 3.
He said: 'These are the ordinary folk who do extraordinary things in our community. They often go without thanks, but they will be honoured at the Stars of Norfolk and Waveney and we hope to make this fantastic night one of the best moments of their lives.
'We are delighted to extend the awards to cover our readers, advertisers and friends in the Waveney Valley.
'From many of our stories we know we will attract a rich calibre of entries from a great community.'
Last year, a magical event saw more than 250 people salute the heart-warming tales of courage and strength from deserving finalists and winners.
Mick Parker, managing director at Parker Communications, who organises the event, said: 'We honestly believe that the Stars of Norfolk are the premier awards ceremony of the year, because they celebrate the achievements of real heroes and heroines in our community.
'The awards are sprinkled with stardust because we give the winners some amazing presents and there are two special recognition awards which really give a flourish and a wonderful finale to the evening.'
So if you can think of someone who is worthy of recognition, please let us know.
