ALDOUS DEREK NORMAN (D N A) Freda would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for the many cards and messages of condolence on the death of her beloved husband Derek. Thank you to everyone who came to St Faiths and the many contacts who apologised for not being able to attend. Thanks to Emma from Continuing Health Care and Occupational Therapist Amanda, all staff at The East Norwich Medical Partnership, District Nurses, paramedics and Norfolk Swift Response teams. To Penny and Laura and their teams of wonderful carers without whom Derek would not have been able to end his life with compassion and dignity in his own home. Thank you to Dereks tennis partners and friends Chris and Ann for their part in the service, and Barbara for help with the flowers and rosemary. Special thanks to Rev. James Stewart for his compassionate and comforting service, also to Mark Allcock and his team for their efficient but kind and sympathetic funeral arrangements, also the staff of St Faiths for their kindness and after care, and The Cottage for providing a perfect venue for a Farewell Gathering which allowed many people to exchange memories of sporting and family times they had enjoyed with Derek. To solicitor Claire for her help and guidance through the forest of official papers. The collection in Dereks memory for Cancer Research UK has raised £1000 plus over £40 of gift aid tax. I am indebted to everyone for the love and kindness shown to us throughout Dereks long illness and the love and support given to me at this sad time. Please take this as the final but very sincere and only acknowledgment.Your tribute has been received.
